Beginning this Monday, October 18, Sony will be ditching the necessary disc in order to provide us gamers with a disc-less Netflix experience. Not only will we be able to start up Netflix and stream movies instantly, but the whole interface is being beefed up. This will lend to much quicker playback times and easier browsing. We are also being promised 1080p high definition and 5.1 surround sound...it's about dang time! Having all three current gen consoles, I have the luxury of being able to compare the streaming Netflix feature between the three of them. I was shocked at just how janky the PS3's was. I had much preferred using the 360 to watch my movies and shows, but we will see if that changes. I heard something about a search function being included with the upgrade, something that all three consoles are currently lacking. this is a very cool feature..I have tried to watch on the tv using the computer but i have to go to the back of the tv hook up the computer then unhook it when I am done very annoying so this is gonna be way easier since the playstation is glued to the tv and no-one moves it ....☻ ♥
